The swelling potential of the untreated expansive clay sample was extremely high, thus the soil sample provided for the study was considered in the very high expansion category. Nanosilica and polypropylene fibers were used as the stabilizing and reinforcing materials. The results indicated that the swelling potential of one-day cured samples by the addition of nanosilica decreased moderately, and the improvement by means of nanosilica and polypropylene fiber decreased the swelling potential significantly. It was observed that the increase of curing time led to a decrease in swelling potential and an increase in UCS. To investigate the durability of the soil samples, the effects of freeze-thaw cycles on the volume changes and strength reduction rate of treated and untreated samples were measured. The highest strength reduction rate occurred after the 1st and 2nd cycle such that it was much lower for the treated samples by the optimal content of additives compared with the untreated one. In addition, the maximum volumetric strain for the untreated expansive clay was measured two times higher than that of the sample treated by nanosilica and polypropylene fiber simultaneously. The results of microstructural tests confirmed the strong potential use of a combination of nanosilica and polypropylene fiber in reducing the negative effects of freeze-thaw cycles on the soil characteristics.}, keywords = {expansive soil,swelling potential,Freeze-thaw cycle,nanosilica,Polypropylene fiber}, title_fa = {ارزیابی آزمایشگاهی تأثیر افزودنی های نانوسیلیس و الیاف پلی پروپیلن بر خصوصیات خاکهای متورم شونده تحت سیکل های ذوب و یخ}, abstract_fa = {خاک های متورم شونده، خاکهای مسئله داری هستند که به طور وسیعی در سرتاسر جهان از جمله ایران پراکنده شده اند. در این تحقیق تاثیر جداگانه و همزمان نانوسیلیس و الیاف پلی پروپیلن در زمان های عمل آوری مختلف برخصوصیات تورمی، تغییر حجم و مقاومت فشاری محصور نشده نوعی خاک با تورم پذیری بالا تحت تاثیر سیکلهای ذوب و یخ متوالی مورد ارزیابی آزمایشگاهی قرار گرفت. خاک اولیه با پتانسیل تورم بالا در رده خاکهای با تورم پذیری بسیار زیاد قرار گرفت. نتایج نشان دادند که افزودن نانوسیلیس موجب کاهش تورم و افزودن الیاف پلی پروپیلن به نمونه بهسازی شده با نانوسیلیس موجب کاهش دوباره تورم در زمان عمل آوری یک روزه گردید. همچنین افزایش زمان عمل آوری موجب کاهش تورم و افزایش مقاومت در نمونه های بهسازی شده شد. مطابق نتایج، سیکلهای ذوب و یخ موجب کاهش مقاومت گردید، بطوریکه بیشترین کاهش مقاومت در سیکلهای اول و دوم اتفاق افتاد که این میزان کاهش در خاک بهسازی شده کمتر از نمونه اولیه مشاهده گردید. همچنین سیکلهای ذوب ویخ موجب افزایش تغییر حجم نمونه ها گردید بطوریکه بیشترین تغییر حجم برای خاک اولیه اندازه گیری شد و این مقدار در نمونه بهینه بهسازی شده به حدود نصف کاهش پیدا کرد. نتایح آنالیزهای ریزساختاری نشان دادند که ترکیب نانوسیلیس و الیاف پلی پروپیلن می تواند تأثیرات منفی ناشی از سیکلهای ذوب و یخ بر روی تغییرات حجم و کاهش مقاومت نمونه خاک مورد مطالعه را به نحو مناسبی کاهش دهند.}, keywords_fa = {خاک متورم شونده,پتانسیل تورم,سیکل ذوب و یخ,نانوسیلیس,الیاف پلی پروپیلن}, url = {https://www.isceiran.org/article_119883.html}, eprint = {} }
