Energy dissipation systems in structures in recent decades have been widely used to reduce earthquake and wind forces. In this research, energy dissipation systems are used to design frames against explosions. In fact, the purpose of this research is to reduce the responses of structures and improve their performance by using viscous and friction dampers under the explosion wave. In practice, the appropriate values of the damping forces of these structures are determined according to the method described in FEMA273 and obtained in three controlled modes by displacement, velocity and acceleration. In this research, the effect of adding viscous and friction dampers on the seismic response of bending frames has been investigated. For this purpose, four steel bending frame with 3 openings, and number of floors 1, 3, 5 and 8, and viscous and friction dampers have been selected. These structures are subjected to nonlinear analysis of openSees software due to the explosion load, and their responses include displacement, relative displacement of the floors and the basic cutting in a state with and without viscous and friction dampers compared to each other. Is The results show that the use of dampers can significantly reduce the responses of structures to the explosion load.
