Pedestrian and upgrading the level of use public transport in cities is one of the main goals of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), which achieving these goals in a zone, the level of TOD will increase. The main goal of this research is to determine the effect of Pedestrian mode on public transportation by way of access for pedestrians to public transport stations. In this research, a set of pedestrian access parameters to public transportation, such as walking distance, number of transport stations, transportation coverage, traffic speed, parking, residential density, commercial density, green space, connectivity, and transport modes were collected. Then, using GIS, the quantitative values for each parameter for the zone 6 of Tehran (as a case study) were calculated to determine the correlation of these parameters with the percentage of trips carried out with public transportation in the zone as a functional criterion from the level of the TOD area To be determined. Therefore, using a multi-layered perceptron neural network (MLP) technique, a model for pedestrian access modes to public transportation in different zones is presented. The results show that network output with R=0/95612 and MSE=4/41 can provide a good performance of the model. In addition, the results of the sensitivity analysis show that the parameter of transportation coverage has the greatest impact and the public spaces have the least effect among other parameters.
