Abstract

Clay fine grained soils are not considered suitable materials in civil projects. So in this research, lime, microsilica and nanosilica additives were evaluated in this kind of soil. For this purpose, We choose the soil was classified in Unified Soil Classification System with CL mark (clay with low plastic limit). After different studies, amounts of 1, 3 and 5% as percentage of lime and amounts of 2, 4 and 8% as percentage of microsilica and nanosilica were chosen. Then to define the best combination ,lime, microsilica and nanosilica with different ratios were mixed with soil in percentage of optimus moisture and after curing 7 and 28 days, was under CBR test. At the end it was found samples with 3% lime and 2% microsilica or nanosilica can be selected as optimal samples in addition to the necessary jumps in CBR ratios and due to the economic cost compared to other values. The maximum CBR content of the consolidated samples by adding lime and microcrystalline in the 28-day samples was 424%, which was 5% in the lime and 8% microcrystalline, and the maximum CBR content of the stabilized samples with lime and nanocrystalline was 469% in the 28-day period. 5% of lime and 8% of nanosilica were obtained.
