In this research, the effect of the corner angles on the stability, deformation of concave and convex excavations under service loading is evaluated. Generally, the excavation wall analysis is studied by assuming a plain strain, and two-dimensional, While the stability of the excavation corners and the effects of geometry are among the important issues affecting the stability and control of wall deformation and failure surfaces, it can only be examined in a three-dimensional analysis. In this research numerical modeling was performed using ABAQUS software in sandy soil domain. The results indicate that the damping effects of concave corner. The lower corner angle is less, the damping effects on settlements surface and horizontal displacement of the excavation wall is higher. But with lower angles, the rate changes. The best angle that has an optimal damping effect is the angle of 90 degrees. The convex corners cause instability and increase surface settlement and horizontal displacement changes. The use of high stiff nails limits surface settlements and horizontal deformation and causes a change in the shape and location of the failure surface.
