The Orbital Radial error is the most important error in measurements for satellite altimetry. The best numerical method for obtaining the value of this error and removing it from observations is the use of crossover points. For this purpose, first it is necessary to obtain the geographical coordinates of these points based on the location of the crossing of satellite tracks in ascending and descending order, and based on this, the time series of observations of each point, including latitude, sea surface height (ssh) are extracted from observations. Then, for each observation point, we arrange the ascending and descending order in order (before all other errors should be eliminated), and then the difference between the ssh value in the ascending order and its corresponding value in descending order is obtained then the difference between the ascending and descending values are calculated. Using the Fourier series method, that the coefficients of the series based on the calculated differences as the observation vector via a least squares method are obtained, the radial orbit error of the satellite are modeled. The method presented in this paper for Jason-2 satellite observations is implemented in the Persian Gulf from 04/07/2008 to 04/03/2015. Here, the time series of the observations are obtained for 6 crossover points in the desired range based on the raw data processing. After the analysis of the corrected observation radial error value of 3.593 centimeters was calculated.
